So, what are the different attributes which will decide whether this software is a good quality or not? So, let us discuss all these attributes into further details. So, first one we are going to consider that is our architecture. So, it is the key property of software system. So, it describes the internal structure of the software system. A good simple structure makes the system easy to understand, change, test, implement, maintenance, upgradations. So, everything will be simple if you select the right architecture for the right software domain. Next one is the correctness. A software product satisfies given needs, also it is free from errors and should be reliable. So, let us suppose a client is demanding one software for some data processing, say for some numerical analysis oriented problems, where he or she is requiring precision up to 10 decimal places. So, the precision of our output must be accurate to that 10 decimal places. So, the correctness and the reliability of the software should be up to that mark. Ease of use, it should be easy to learn and use. If you can make your software user friendly, the software will be more popular, more sellable, more clients will be liking using that software. And if the software is really very much user friendly, if it is very much documented, the help files are very much documented, then the user may not be requiring a training to operate with the software. So, that is why the software should Should be ease of use, easy to use and to learn and also to know about the software operations. Efficiency. It is the ability to produce high performance software with optimum use of available hardware and software resources. So, if we can execute a process, if you can execute a thread, if you can execute one software with optimum software resources and hardware resources, then obviously you can say that this very software is very much efficient. Extensibility. When minimum effect to accommodate changes in the requirements, design decisions and due to change in the technical constraints. So, change requests will be coming from the client. Different types of hardware and software changes will be there. So, that is why if our software is capable to accommodate those changes in the requirements, in the design and due to some change in the technical constraints, if it can be accommodated accordingly, easily, then obviously we can say that extensibility of the software is up to the mark. On time. A software should be developed well in time. So, it should be maintaining, the development should be done within the deadline. Portability. It is used with which software is transformed to other hardware or to other software platform. So, what is the platform? Platform is nothing but the respective operating system and the hardware parts, the architecture of the machine. So, that is why if it is if it is portable. So, whether the portability is good enough or not. That means whether it can move from, it can be transformed from one platform to another platform. Readability. It is the ability to produce a bug free software. Next one is the reusability. It is the ability so that the whole software or a part of the software can be reused in another software. So, that is known as the reusability property. Next one is the robustness. It ensures that This ensures whether the software can continue its process in spite of unexpected problems. So, that is a robust. That means, the software is having some constraints or having some problems, but then also the software is executing in a continuous process. If it is so, then you can say that the software is having a good robust feature. Next one is the usability. Software should have an appropriate user interaction and meet the need of intended users. So, user interaction, that is the UI, user interface should be good enough, so that users can, users will prefer to use this respective software. Within budget, the software development costs should not overrun and it should be within the budgetary limits. And if the software is within the budget, then obviously, the software will get better market, will get a greater market, more customers, more users. So, as a result of that, the software development will get the full success. So, these are the different features of software quality. Thanks for watching this video. TutorialsPoint.com.
